Welcome to our website!

Le Bruet is situated in the south of the Charente department of France, just outside the market town of Chalais.

There are 5 quality cottages each with its own large private garden set in 4 acres of mature parkland, which our guests are welcome to explore.

There is also a fabulous 12 x 6 metre solar-heated, fenced swimming pool with surrounding terrace area offering both sun and shade. The games room has table tennis and a selection of books and videos. The childrens play area provides a wide open space in which to kick a football, play badminton etc.

Adjacent to the barn and the swimming pool there is a communal dining/ barbeque area for the use of all our guests.

David and Jane have lived at Chez Bouton for over ten years and according to guests have a knack of mixing discretion with friendly helpfulness when required.

We assure our clients that our best attention is paid to cleanliness and presentation of all our cottages.
